Rogue Cu-Mai Nakiri
This knife is made from a billet of Cu-Mai laminated by @diondamascus. After receiving the billet I profiled and heat treated the piece of steel into a 7" Nakiri style blade. A Nakiri knife is spectacular for all around kitchen use but excels when it comes to slicing and dicing vegetables. A Fire Knives Nakiri is made with slightly more curve near the tip to enable the user to incorporate a "rocking style" cut and also get the benefit of added blade heigth near the tip. This "Cu-Mai" blade is made of 1095 high carbon steel and features an aesthetic river of copper that runs through the face of the blade to mezmorize your guests.
The handle is made from stabilized ocean resin, oak, micarta, g10 and steel spacers. The handle also has an inlay of an octopus which is one of my favorite animals. This style handle is a wa-type western handle that is designed to fit comfortably with any type of gripping style used in the kitchen today.
This Knife purchase comes custom with Saya and maintenance kit to help protect and care for the blade . Fire Knives will also provide a gift box and take care of shipping within the continental united states. Please note that Carbon steel will oxidize if not dried and cared for properly. A patina and slight discoloration of the blade naturally occurs during regular use and is sought after by many chefs worth their salt. The benefit of high carbon is its edge retention, sharpness and ease of sharpening when compared to stainless steels.

Damaged Product from Shipping
if there are any problems with your order, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt of shipment. Fire Knives cannot be responsible for claims made after 48 hours. For breakage resulting from carrier transit, please keep the entirety of original item(s) as well as all packaging and packing materials for 30 days for future inspection by carrier. Please take photo(s) of all damaged goods for Fire Knives to honor your claim.
